HEADLINE: Families don't have enough
life insurance, study reports Families would need to spend between $98 and $444 more each year to bridge the gap between their economic needs and the coverage provided by insurance, said the study by the world's biggest reinsurer of life-insurance policies. In the United States, families on average would need to more than double their annual premiums, to $444 to cover the shortfall, according to the study. Overall in the United States, households spend $10.6 trillion less than they should to protect against the economic consequences of death, the study concluded.
